Welcome to the Utility Billing Department

The Utility Billing Division provides customer service, bills and collects for water, wastewater and solid waste services, assists with service requests and provides information related to billing and services.

The division also acts as a collection point for monies received by other City departments.

To set up utility service please stop in at city hall with the following: 
  • Driver's license or state issued ID.
  • Lease agreement or deed (both residential and commercial)
  • Commercial customers will also need to provide their sales tax certificate. 
  • Residential Deposit for homeowners is $125 and for resident's leasing it is $225. For Commercial accounts, the deposit is $250 - Deposits are refundable once account is closed. 
  • A non-refundable application fee of $30

**Any utility requests received after 3:00 PM will be serviced the next business day. **


Garbage & Recycling:

Waste Management is the solid waste provider for the City. Please contact the Utility department to report missed garbage pickup. You may also call Waste Management at 800-800-5804. Recycling and regular garbage collection is on Wednesdays only. You may also schedule hazardous waste collection by calling Waste Management at 800-449-7587. For a list of acceptable recyclable materials, please visit Waste Management's website here.

The City of Montgomery provides Big Trash Days for its residents the first weekend of each March, June, September, and December. Large dumpsters will be provided at City Hall to dispose of large unwanted items approved by Waste Management between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
