Crime Control and Prevention District

Proposal

  • Reallocate a portion of the MEDC (4B) sales tax to fund a Crime Control and Prevention District.

What is a Crime Control & Prevention District (CCPD)?

CCPD is a special district allowed under Texas State law to help support crime control and prevention programs, operational expenses, and related capital purchases for the Police. The sales tax revenue generated by this district would be dedicated to Public Safety and utilized to fund enhancements in technology and specialized services.
