Charles B. Stuart Birthday Celebration

• Event Description: Join the Montgomery Historic Society in celebrating our rich history at the Davis Cottage.
• Event Highlight: Charles Stewart, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence, was born on February 6, 1806. He moved to Montgomery in 1837, where he established a medical practice and opened a drugstore. In 1839, he served on a committee appointed by the Third Congress of the Republic of Texas to design a new state flag

Texas Flag Celebration & Mayor’s Reception

Citizen Police Academy

• Event Description: The City of Montgomery Police Department is excited to announce they are now accepting applications for the fourth annual Citizens Police Academy. Freedom Festival 2025

The Freedom Festival and Montgomery Water Party, hosted in partnership by the City of Montgomery, Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber and Montgomery Welcome Center will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 14420 Liberty St, Montgomery, TX.

Freedom Festival (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) will feature a patriotic downtown parade, live music, delicious food, and family-friendly activities.

Montgomery Water Party will offer exciting water activities like splash pads, slides, and games to cool off this summer. Join us for a day filled with community spirit, fun, and celebration!

Faith & Blue – Montgomery Police Department

• Event Description: A community event designed to build relationships, focusing on the relationship between faith-based organizations and law enforcement.

Trick or Treat Downtown Business District

• Event Description: A safe, family-friendly trick-or-treating event in historic downtown Montgomery for children to collect candy from local businesses and vendors. Montgomery Police Department will kick off this event at the community center.

“Christmas in Montgomery” kicks off the season with Shop with a Cop presented by Montgomery Police Department

• Event Description: A private charity event where local police help children purchase gifts for their families during the holidays.

Light up the Park

• Event Description: Celebrate the season with a festive tree lighting ceremony, live music, captivating performances, and fun activities for all ages. Enjoy delicious sweets and treats, and don’t miss the chance to take photos with Santa Claus himself. Mayor Sara Countryman will also announce the winners of this year’s holiday contests, including the Pole Decoration, Residential Display, and Commercial Decoration Contest

Annual Christmas Parade
