Call Before You Dig

Texas 811 will notify the City of Montgomery Public Works Department for all utilitylocate requests within the city limits.

Texas One Call is a free service provided to customers for utility locates. Please contact 811 before starting any excavation including planting a tree, fence installation, or driving a long stake into the ground to secure a bounce house anywhere in the state of Texas. There are multiple utilities buried underground such as electric, natural gas, water, sewer, phone, fiber optic cable, and cable TV. This service enables you to call 811, give them information on where you are digging, and Texas One Call will notify every utility in the area to mark their lines with paint and flags. Please call at least 48 hours prior to digging. If you see flags and paint in your yard, please do not remove them. The paint and/or flag indicates work is being performed on a utility line without you being aware. These markings are very important and needed by the contractors to know what is underground. Removal of these flags could result in someone striking a line and causing an outage that could take hours or even days to fix.

The City of Montgomery is an active member of Texas 811. We will receive notification for water and sewer locates requested inside the city limits.
